Charles and Lilly (Young) Cox settled in the small coal mining town of Hemphill WV, in the mountains of Southern WV. There they raised a family of 7 children (3 boys and 4 girls).
As many of the men in the community did, Charles worked in the coal mines to support his family. While Lilly kept the home and raised the children.
The home that they provided their children was always full of love. The love for the fellow human and a very strong love for God. This love was shown to all that visited. A love that has been passed down through the many generations of the family.
They always taught their children respect, a trait that they also help instill upon their grandchildren. Many good values was learned in this home and carried out by all that spent anytime with the Cox's.
Charles and Lilly has since passed on, along with 3 of their children. But their love and memories are alive and vibrant in all the hearts that they touched.
